Should I rule out Mt Fuji in the summer if I don’t plan to hike it?

Currently ruled it our of my itinerary actually, and opted for Kamakura/Enoshima instead. Would you guys recommend the same? Is it true that Mt Fuji’s barely visible on late July/early Aug anyway? Thanks!

  2. Good question!! Chances to see Mt Fuji is as low as 6.5% in July. It’s definitely skippable if your intention is to gaze at the mountain. It is low due to high humidity and rain which impact visibility.

I think your itinerary is fairly paced between the sights you want to see

  3. Mt. Fuji also tends to be bare of snow in June-August, so not quite as iconic looking as when it is snow capped.

The only time I have seen Mt. Fuji in June was via airplane and I think I just got the timing perfect.
