What is the partying scene like at ICU?

I just want to know how the partying scene is and whether there is one at all. If so, is it comparable to Waseda’s?

  1. There are better schools for this in the US that you can go to for cheaper that will grant you an actually internationally recognized degree if all you care about is the party scene.

  2. Jfc the replies are harsh. The partying scene is kind of bad— but it also depends on the dorm you’re in. But, there’s also parties that are specifically for Tokyo students that you can go to. So while ICU itself isn’t much of a party school, it doesn’t mean that your college experience will have to be that way as well.

  3. Japanese uni students do “party” to some extent, but it’s more a small group thing, where they’ll go to karaoke or perhaps even to some kind of nightclub.

But between the lack of drugs, the lack of large houses, and the presence of some consideration towards their neighbours and community it’s going to be pretty tame compared, to most western countries.

    However, regards ICU vs Waseda…

Waseda is probably the wokeist uni in Japan, every person I’ve met who “identifies as” non-binary etc is a Waseda student. It actually has official “Preferred pronoun” policies.

ICU is nominally Christian, and they have a hiring bias towards Christian faculty. To some extent Christian students may gravitate towards there, but I suspect they are far outnumbered by secular students who want a good education.

So, you want to party huh?
Who do you want spoiling your fun?
    Bible-thumpers or Wokemons?
That’s how you make this choice.
