TAIKODAI float and the solidarity of Japanese people

It’s a very Japanese, very Japanese photo. Everyone wears the same happi coat and works together to lift up the float, entertaining the gods. It is a characteristic of Japanese people that everyone has the same goal and cooperates with everyone.

  1. This is just traditional culture. The same mentality exists everywhere in the world that traditional festivals are celebrated. The only thing unique to Japan is the details of the rituals and clothing.

    Nice photo though.

  2. It’s very japanese very japanese in the sense that there are a lot of Japanese people in the photo. Cooperation and solidarity are found the world ’round. Festivals too. Hey, even countries outside Japan have 4 seasons!

  3. Looked like a big slice of toast at first glance. I can respect that. Toast is great!
