Leo palace electric stove turning off itself

Hey guys so I tried to cook in this electric stove the Leo palace generally use but it turned itself off automatically after cooking on tier high for about 10 min and now it won’t go higher than tier 2 heat after shutting itself off. Is this normal or is the stove just having an issue cause now I can’t cook my dinner and stuck here hungry

  1. Yeah they are induction heat so they can overheat that’s why. You just need to wait and turn it back up again.

  2. If it’s IH as the other post suggests are you using IH-capable cookware? Maybe it’s causing the cooktop to overheat.

  3. I haven’t lived in a Leopalace for a long time, but what do you mean by “tier high”? Is that the maximum setting? What are you making? Try cooking things for longer at a lower heat setting.

  4. Modern cooking stoves have an infra red censor above the range that turns off or lowers the heat when it gets triggered. This can be done sometimes by having an object right next to the element like a plate, cup or something that gets hot and fools the system into thinking there’s danger of an adjacent fire.

  5. That’s not normal, call maintenance. I don’t know what the others are talking about, stoves turning themselves off isn’t normal.

  6. Congratulations! You seem to have found a safety feature meant to prevent burning your home down. Try cooking on low to medium heat next time.

If the problem persists and doesn’t seem to be a safety feature, LeoPalace has an English support line. Just give them a call and they’ll fix things right up. My staff in LeoPalace apartments have had really maintenance happen really fast when problems arose, including replacing appliances.

  7. Isn’t that normal? My gas stovetop does the same thing, if you leave it high for a long time it eventually automatically lowers the heat/flame for a while. I’m assuming it’s some sort of safety function to avoid causing a fire/overheating or other accident. You should be able to cook on a low/medium heat right? Most recipes I use specify a low/medium or medium heat for most of the process.
