Kobe/Hiroshima Itinerary Feedback

Hello! I will be traveling to Japan in July and am looking for feedback on my Kobe/Hiroshima itinerary. Prior to this itinerary, we would have already stayed in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Please let me know if there is anything I should add or remove. Food recommendations are welcome :).
Thank you!

Sunday, July 23: Kobe Day 1
Time TBD: Arrive in Kobe from Osaka
Explore Harborland
Eat and explore Chinatown
Rest

Monday, July 24: Mount Rokko (would it be better to visit Arima Onsen first)?
I considered hiking up, however, I’m not sure that would be great in the summer heat.
9:30 – Arrive at Nunobiki Ropeway
Walk around Herb Garden, then head to the observation deck
Take Rokko-Arima Ropeway
Explore Arima Onsen
Dinner
Back to Kobe (take bus from Arima Onsen? Is there another option?)

Tuesday, July 25: Hiroshima
\~11:00 AM Arrive in Hiroshima
Drop off luggage
Lunch
Visit Shukkeien Garden
\~3:00 PM check into hotel
Walk around Kamiyacho
Dinner

Wednesday, July 26: Peace Memorial Park
Peace Memorial Park Museum
Explore Peace Memorial Park
Atomic Bomb Dome

Thursday, July 27: Miyajima Island
\~8:00 AM: Head to Miyajimagushi Station
Board the ferry
Mount Misen Ropeway, then 30 min. walk to summit
Possibly stop at Sanki-gongen-do Temple
Mount Misen Observatory
Take ropeway back to the bottom
Visit Daishoin Temple or Itsukushima Shrine (are both worth it)?
Dinner
Depart Miyajima via ferry by 6:00 PM

  1. We went up Mount Misen last week. It was cloudy and couldn’t see anything. But Miyajima is totally worth a visit. Another place that is interesting is Okunoshima island. Rabbits everywhere.
