Black hair salon in Tokyo/Kanagawa

I’m looking for recommendations for a salon in Tokyo/Kanagawa that can cut black/afro textured hair. I have very long, 3C/4A textured hair that I’m looking for cut roughly 75% off, but when I searched for salons in the area that do black hair they’re seemingly all oriented around braids, weaves, and giving Japanese people curly perms. I figured I’d ask here before I end up just cutting it myself. Thanks!

  1. I had a friend who asked the Nigerian dudes that you find around town (shibuya, roppongi, and the like) and had success but this was back in 2016 and he’s since left the country.

    as an absolute last option before cutting your own hair, it might be an avenue for you?

  2. I wonder if you’d have luck searching “black hair” and the name of an American base area like “Yokosuka” – surely someone has had the idea to target soldiers.

  4. I have 4b hair and went to Nepenji Hanare in Ebisu, Kiyoko does the curly cuts/deva cuts and you can e-mail her through their website to make an appointment. She has an instagram called curly_girls_in_tokyo if you want to see some of the cuts she has done. I only saw one person with hair like mine on her page so it was a gamble but I loved how my hair turned out and will go back.
