KLC Graded Readers Paperback vs Ebook

I started learning kanji through KLC and decided it would be best to do this in conjunction with the graded reader set. Alongside the KLC book I bought paperback versions of the first 4 volumes (which I can still return).

Now I am starting to have doubts if I shouldn’t have gone for the Kindle version instead. The [official study guide](https://keystojapanese.com/how-to-study/) written by the author seems to be intended for the ebook version and there seem to be many extra benefits you can get out of it (like looking up words in the electronic dictionary and seeing those words in other example sentences). I want to stick to the methodology described by the author as close as possible.

I get that in the end it’s a matter of preference, but I am interested to hear about your experience with the GRS and if you would advice me to switch to the Epub version, or if there’s really not much of a difference.

  1. I’m making another attempt at more systematic kanji study and I’m also currently using the kanji study app. Compared to years earlier where I used the ebook, I find it easier to work with the app as it shows one sentence at a time and hides the reading and translation until you tap on the screen. Makes it easier to focus and more convenient to read a few sentences on the phone throughout the day.
