   **Address Registration Question**

   Hi!
   I’m an Italian girl and at the end of June I’ll move to Kyoto.

   I have a question regarding the address registration at the city hall: do I need to give them a Japanese phone number or is it ok to give just my Italian one?

   I don’t know if I need first to get a Japanese SIM Card or if I can get it later…

2. Generally you’ll need the address before you can get a phone, so I don’t recall ever putting down a phone number at all when I registered my address.

3. City hall doesn’t need a phone number. But you need an address registered to get a SIM with a phone number.
