  1. Hi!

Ummm do you mean you bought 4 adult 7 day JR Nationwide Rail Passes for this itinerary cause that is a huge waste of money as your furthest trip is Kusatsu onsen.

It might be worth it to get a Tokyo Wide Pass, since it would cover your trip on the shinkansen from Omiya to Karuizawa (Omiya is the preferred transfer point to catch the Tohoku, Yamagata, Nagano, or Niigata shinkansen when coming from Shinjuku or Ikebukuro.) but I’m not even sure that is worth it and you would need to price it out.

I think Day 7 could be a long day depending on how much time you want to spend in Harajuku and how long the lines are for the places you want to eat.

I assume you already have tickets for the Ghibli Museum, right? Unless you are planning to eat in, or going on a day when it is closed, there is a Shiro-hige’s branch located in Kichijoji. It’s not far from the station.

    Good luck!
