Well my Docomo phone is fine
my UQ WiMax has terrible internet rn, could it be related?
it shows full bars but internet is unusable, 5 tries and 2 minutes to load a google search result.
Okay I’ve been so annoyed all morning wondering why my phone was acting up! Glad to see the actual reason
I have UQ, and it’s down. I thought i didn’t pay my bill lol.
Super annoying, someone was trying to reach me and they said they couldn’t connect. I can’t make any outgoing calls either, and SMS messages aren’t coming through. Internet works fine.
Glad it’s not just me though.
Hmm 12+ hours on now~~, ~~this seems more like a cyberattack~~ or completely poor ~~cybersecurity~~ implementation rather than a fiber backbone cut. Where’s the redundancy? Were backups wiped?

I wonder if this is related to my Amazon credit card suddenly being declined (on Amazon, no less) even though I have plenty of available credit and no balance due. It’s possible they tried to text me for the first time ever and I couldn’t receive it (I’m au).

I totally thought I didn’t pay my bill and was freaking out. Also didn’t understand how internet worked but cellular didn’t.
I thought it was my phone being weird again (had a moment of no internet with or without wifi, only on my phone and no other devices). Then finally I got the hint that maybe it’s not when I saw my nail techs phone when showing me photos, and I see zero bars, but internet connected. Almost a full day now, and still not fixed, although according to jtwitter, some have seen it fixed.
My Japanese partner says it’s due to the giant solar flare hitting Earth now.
I guess we’re all doomed.

How many things have to explode/catch on fire at the same time for this to take this much time? It’s still not fully recovered according to the info on KDDI website. It’s kinda suspicious – you’d think one of the big 3 would have better disaster recovery procedures in place…

Any update on this? Mine has signal but still can’t make calls. First time using a phone booth. Lol
