My friend is coming up from the US and we’ll be traveling together to Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Nagoya, Kobe, and Hiroshima.
I’m not looking for big ticket events.
I’m looking for art and music events which are parts of growing scenes.

Check out Space Eauuu in Kobe and Environment 0g in Osaka. Modular on the Spot Kyoto is an outdoor synth event at kamagowa delta. They post events on their IG account.

It’s not on Google maps and it’s been awhile since I’ve been there but there is a video jockey bar in Osaka inside the Misono Building. Should be in the Northeast corner if memory serves. Cool spot.
There’s a guy always posting a bunch of underground gigs in the weekly event thread on r/Tokyo. Good stuff.
Just wander and you’ll find them.
On July 1st my band NABLA9 will have an underground metal event at Shinjuku Wildside where we are playing with a bunch of underground Japanese Metal bands.
Really underground stuff so feel free to come out.
