I am flying to Tokyo round trip from 11/6 – 11/20. I am a bit overwhelmed with planning. I will be arriving in Tokyo on 11/7. Here are my questions:

1. When should I arrive in Kyoto and Osaka based on my dates of travel? I go back home, departing from Tokyo on 11/20 at 18:15.
2. What is the best method of travel and most efficient? Is it buying the Japanese rail pass for 14 days?
