I am going to get the JR Pass. I: am not sure though if my base should be in Kyoto or Osaka? w.r.t Kyoto I really don’t know how much I will like it all i have heard is how crowded it is. ?
I have a couple of free days that I was thinking of spending more time in Tokyo but, I wasn’t sure if I should go other places in Japan instead?
Do I have enough time in Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima?
Do I need to really worry about reserving restaurants?
I like hiking so if any place offers some good opportunities I would be interested .
Is it better to rent a car in Izu Peninsula, or would we be fine with public transport?

Is Day 6 a typo? You’re going back to Tokyo to stay in Shinjuku, then on day 7 heading back to Kyoto?
Just a few notes from my scan.
Day 3: you have three museums – pick one. Don’t attempt three.
Day 6: you have Shinjuku in Kyoto, I assume that’s a typo?
Day 7: you mean the deer park right? The monkey park is back in Kyoto
Day 8/9/10: Are you staying in Kyoto or Osaka?
You have Akhibara on Day 2 and 20, is this intentional?
I’m not sure why you would be going from Hiroshima to Hakone. Hakone is quite close to Tokyo, perhaps you should shuffle it in between Tokyo and Kyoto?
For the most part I think your days seem fine and not overly packed, you might want to look over some of those typos though. Safe travels!!
