Why no global warming caution related news at all on the news. For the past 3 years it’s always ohh this year’s gonna be more hotter. Rain is significantly less. Are they that scared of Jp industries?

Why are there so many barbershops and hairdressers in Japan? Is it really that easy to open a shop and stay afloat?
Complicated situation but I hope I can hear people’s opinion.
I’m on my 6th month of stress leave and was scheduled to get back to work soon. However at the same time I’m actually doing 不妊治療 which is soon escalating into 体外受精. So I was thinking which one is better when I ask my work to extend my leave for few months more: to tell my boss honestly about the treatment or just keep saying it’s due to mental health still not progressing well.
The reason I want to extend is because with the hectic treatment schedule where I may have to go to repro clinic like 2 3 times a week and gonna use lot of my paid leave and with the invasive treatment burden on my body, I think its more feasible if I do the treatment in the stress leave period, but I’m aware it may raise unfavorable opinion from my work like “you ask leave for A but now you do B things!”
*FYI the first time I asked stress leave I stated to my team and bosses that one of the reasons i got depressed is because i couldn’t ever conceive due to overwork and burnouts. Also, I think my workplace is “white” enough that I feel guilty taking leave longer.
Currently self isolating at home with covid with a sore throat and the occasional fever, but was wondering if I can/should increase my dosage of ibuprofen.
The current brand im using (LICOLi PLUS ACE) says the max dose is 2 pills (150mg in total) x 3 times a day, but searching on the web like the UK’s NHS website, 200mg x 3 times a day and even 600 x 4 times a day is possible so… could/should i increase my dosage if the pain/fever gets bad?
If you live in an apartment complex, what do you guys usually say when someone rings the intercom to get in the front door? I feel like I always panic and don’t know what to say lol. Do you even need to say anything? Or do you just unlock the main entrance for them to come up and leave the delivery?
My friend is taking me to his grand parents place. My question is there anything special I need to do when greeting his grand parents? Like I have to make sure I have to bow lower?
Thanks
Newly Move to Japan, help me below
I found below unusual
Kirin Lemon tea 500 ml — around 100 Yen
Kirin Lemon tea 1500 ml — Around 168 Yen
😥😥😥
What am i Missing in here and what other things are unusual in Japan?
Does anyone have any good theories as to why Japanese love to plaster the screen with walls of text? Whether it is a TV show, commercial, advertisement, etc you just absolutely get blasted with at least a paragraph of information.
Which would be better to buy, mansion or house?
For a country and my prefecture in particular that grows so much rice why is it so hard to find Brown rice and when I do it so much more expensive than white rice? Where is all the brown rice?
Hello, everyone. I’m not sure if this is the best thread to ask this question but I’m applying for permanent residency soon and I would like to know who is qualified to be my guarantor. I’m a long term resident who lives alone. My mother took me here to Japan, so is she automatically the one who becomes my guarantor? I don’t really want to ask her favors as much as possible…
Looking at the weather forecast, it’s supposed to start raining tomorrow, and continue raining for the undefine future (it only shows 10 days, and all of those are rain)
So, how can they say rainy season is over? I think something is wrong with their calculations…
If I naturalize can I have my current name (with the spelling) on my passport? So for example Lea instead of Ria? I know I’ll lose my name legally in Japan (katakana/kanji will become my official name) and that’s fine, I just want it to exist somewhere in the world in some small way still because my dad who recently passed away gave me my name and it’s important to me. My name is a spelling that is completely different from my katakana because it’s not an English name.
This is purely just for sentimental reasons, I know it’s not official and I want to naturalize regardless but I’d be really happy to have something with the (first) name I was born with on it.
If I’m switching from Yucho to another bank, can I just withdraw all my money and deposit it in the other bank? Trying to understand if it will be easy to transfer the money if i’ll run into fees or withdrawal limits.
I have some second hand, high-end photo equipment I am looking to sell. Being located in Japan, what would be the best platform to advertise and sell the equipment?
does yakiniku like sell their furikake online?
I’m visiting America for one month in August, I leave July 31st. This is my first time traveling back to the states since I moved here 2 and a half years ago. Anything important I should remember to do before going since I’ll be gone for a month?
Did they recently remove the L size option for plain cheese pizzas on Domino’s website? All my “buy 1 L size pizza and get x” deals…

Is it possible to convert informally-employed domestic helper to formally employed?
We’re one of those families who came to rely on 1500 yen perh hour Filipina to help with the kids.
The helper in question is really great, but since she is here on a hotel cleaner visa, she will have to either find a proper hotel cleaning job (and stop working for us), or move back to Philippines (and stop working for us).
We’re both expats, on regular working visas. From what I’ve read, this means we can’t sponsor someone, only a company can.
Thus the idea: is there a company who could sponsor this specific person and dispatch her to our home? How much could such an arrangement cost?
Is anyone else having problems registering a Shinsei bank account for the new my number campaign? I’m entering my account info into the My Number portal app exactly as it’s registered in my Shinsei settings, but every time I submit the app gives me a connection error and says to check your account information.
Who are your favorite manzai acts?
I finally got on my number card and there was something about cash points from doing so. I gave them my waon card but I haven’t seen any money yet. Is there something I’m supposed to do or is it just going to appear eventually
Has anyone been able to get the マイナンバーカード campaign points to work? I’m trying to put in my health insurance and bank info, and their app just sends me to a website that is somewhat broken. It’s pathetic for an official government app.

For those who traveled home with little ones, what travel insurance do you recommend?
A bit late to the thread, but I wonder if someone can help me.
I noticed some parts of my flooring (that vinyl fake wood flooring) in my apartment are starting to bend up against each other or the corners unstick and start standing up. They are not super sharp, but I’m worrying about trying or hurting myself.
I tried to look online at how to solve it by myself, but I can’t seem to find the right terminology. Can anyone share some light or share their experience? I think I might need to contact the owner, but then again, don’t know how to properly explain this issue since it never occurred to me before…
Since I only have 3 years degree, I guess I need to go for 10 Years route and provide proof of my 10 Years experience right?
For working visa (IT Job) via amazon.
Do I have to get the document sent here physically or Is it possible to just send scanned version?
Asking just in case someone have similar experience here.
Both degree and job experience is related to IT.
Though I feel like “why don’t just send it now?”, but this is stupid question anyway!
Also just in case if there’s something else required to get sent here.
