1. Balconies? My upstairs neighbor chain smokes in his apartment. Wherever he does it, that room in my apartment smells like cigarettes for the entire night. I complained to my landlord, nope nothing happened. I know it’s him too because we gave him a gift when we moved in. He opened his door and I was like ooooh my god! Finally I got fed up and started ringing his doorbell and he wouldn’t open his door, I told him about it.

   Now it’s really rare for it to smell in my house. Absolutely confront the situation, always. Especially the hikkiomori types, they just want you gone. They’ll do whatever to make the problem disappear, so you never bother them anymore.
