I was looking to buy or adopt (preferably) chinchillas in Tokyo but the prices are crazy expensive.. is it normal?
Do you guys know where to adopt from that aren’t pet shop (to not encourage pet shop) ? Is there any association (I would be willing to pay veterinary check-up,etc..) that you guys know?

there was this online website which i forgot, but you can buy from that website they do home deliveries too.
Sometimes pet-home(dot)jp has chinchillas that are up for adoption. You could check there
How much are they in Tokyo? I have always wanted one since coming to Japan but never got one and ended up with a hedgehog. I’ve seen them between 30,000-60,000yen.
Kojima in matsudo has them.
