Hello. I run a small industry-related meetup and I’m trying to find a venue in Kyoto that allows large groups (about 6 to 10 people) with prior reservation during the late afternoon. We’re just a casual meet up and chat group so other than being at the same table and hopefully having good food/drinks, we’re not picky.
Maybe when the weather gets cooler a Kamogawa spot would be fine but for right now I’m looking for inside places for the summer.
If possible, it being accessible by JR / Hankyu / or Keihan would be great as we have people that come from other prefectures in Kansai.

Have you considered a coworking space? Many of them accept reservations and look more like a cafe than a meeting room.
Try finding a community center/公民館 to reserve a room in.
I’ve been to them for various activities and they do allow food and drink.
Not sure about any extra costs, but this place has private rooms, a drink bar, meals, and is on the casual side so probably wouldn’t mind a long stay unless they have another reservation. Has a parking lot for anyone driving and is also walking distance from Kyoto station
