Is something going around? At least a third of the people at my workplace are also coughing.
My younger son caught something similar on Friday. Still powered through a soccer game yesterday but he wasn’t at his best.
It tastes terrible, but I swear by 龍角散 if I have a sore throat or cough even though I rarely get sick. It’s an extreme herbal taste, but all you do is take a small scoop of it and swallow. I usually get better within a day or two and the important thing is that it suppresses the cough well enough that I can get a good night’s rest. Here is a link description. You can find it at almost any drug store. Good luck!
But it’s best, and cheaper, to go to a doctor and have something prescribed.
I hated cough syrup in America. Some weird sickly strawberry or cherry kind of taste, so when I first bought cough syrup in Japan I tried it with trepidation, but it was the most delicious caramel flavor lol
I have been sick like this. Since the start of the month, and so has the whole office
Vicks vapo rub on your chest before sleep.
Ringl 200 for ibuprofen. ストナ去たんカプセルfor coughing.
I take the two together. You’ll find these active ingredients combined with caffeine and antihistamines in other medicine. I try to avoid first generation antihistamines, so that’s my go-to.
I used [this](https://amzn.asia/d/abFNwBM) when I had horrible throat pain a couple of months back. In a couple of days all the pain and coughing was gone. Tastes like mint, so isn’t gross
After 7 days of little improvement, my roommate spent like 2000 total going to the local clinic and being prescribed a bunch. In 2 days she improved by 60% and looks much better. The coughing is rare now and barely noticeable.
Japanese ones never work for me but you can buy Hall’s candy anywhere. That works. Throat sprays from back home are the best.
We all got it in the family. A mix of bronchitis and tonsillitis.
Was using paracetamol-based over the counter medicines but didn’t help. In the end, went to the doctor, got a load of medicines and stayed home for a week and that sorted me out.
I think there’s definitely something going on.
I am just getting over what was diagnosed as a bacterial sinus infection. I started feeling bad last Sunday, went to the clinic on Wednesday for a diagnosis, and I’m just now kind of returning to normal. It wasn’t covid or the flu but it’s been difficult nonetheless.
The fever and insane congestion is gone.
The coughing, sore throat, and lack of energy continues.
My husband had the exact same symptoms two months ago and his symptoms lasted 2 weeks.
BRON is good – pills or syrup.
Just go see a doctor!
のど飴
Available OTC at most pharmacies, convenience stores, and super markets. The ones in the blue pack with メントール on it are the best.
Yes, same. Some fever and throat pain which did not go away for a long time.
Did COVID, Influ, RS and what not tests, all negative.
Must be one of the bugs going around because people got a weaker immunity walking around in masks for two years.
If it’s Covid all over the counter medicine in japan is trash almost like placebo scams. Best bet is hit up a hospital and get some real stuff prescribed

The [deliciously addictive](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1749828/) [BRON](https://www.ssp.co.jp/product/brand/bron/) is probably the strongest you can get OTC.
