I’ve been considering pre-ordering it since it was just made available in Japan as of today.
Only thing is, the options involving the purchase seem to be quite limited relative to the US store. I can forgive the lack of installment payments or the included Pixel watch. But it seems like we can’t even sign up for any kind of coverage on a device worth over 250,000 yen. What’s the deal with this? Seems pretty counterintuitive to invest in a device with that kind of price tag without the option to pay for a year or two of coverage.
There’s always the option of importing one from the states but I was hoping to get a model with the proper NFC chip.
Anyone have similar experiences? Or any information as to why the purchasing experience on their site varies so greatly between regions?

Buy from AU or Docomo and get their subscription-based phone protection?
Last year I bought the Pixel 7 pro and I received a 10% discount on the phone and 35000 Google Credit. Also received a 15% discount coupon for future purchases.
Google has split payment options without interest if you are buying with a credit card.
They are offering ¥52,000 store credit right? I’d rather have a cheaper starting price but I guess I’d eventually make use of the credit
That is an insane amount of money for a phone/tablet.
