* Ideally I want a laid back itinerary where I can just appreciate Tokyo. At the same time though I don’t want to waste a day by doing or seeing too little?
* Day 2 seems the most strained. I booked Ghibli for 10AM while Warner Bros for 3PM. Planning to go Kichijoji early, have a hearty breakfast, and just eat lunch if ever we finish Ghibli early? Expecting to stay in Ghibli for 3 hours while in Warner for 4
* I’m still not sure how Kamakura will go. Should I skip Enoshima since my day might be too packed, or will Kamakura be incomplete without it? I’m also coming from Philippines so I feel like Enoshima might be too familiar? If I remove Enoshima, I plan to do Kita Kamakura > Hase > Kokomae
* Should I bother going Yanaka in the morning of day 6, or will it be too tight? Can just do Ueno Park and Ameyoko for the half day, or even remove Ueno Park in case you guys think we’ll be too tired
* Skipping Meiji and Asakusa so we can wake up a bit later on Days 5 and 6. Doing 1 day of Kamakura so we’re templed out. Let me know as well if the plan looks too packed still or too laxed even

  1. Will you ever go back to Japan? I think the entire trip spent in Tokyo is missing other parts of the country. Even a day trip to kawaguchiko instead of Disney would be money and time well spent.

Looking back at my first visit to Tokyo, I think I got more out of Yanaka than I did from Ueno. You might think it’s weird but I really enjoyed Yanaka cemetery. Definitely do Ameyoko. I’ll tell you that I wasn’t that impressed with Ameyoko during my first visit, but it’s one of my must-do’s now. If you’re into street food, this is the place to go.

Yeah, you can skip Meiji Jingu but I would leave Asakusa on the list, not so much for the temple, but more so Nakamise-dori. You can decide last minute to skip it, depending on how y’all feel. If it were me, I would prioritize in this order: Asakusa/Nakamise, Yanaka, Ueno, but it really depends on what you want out of your trip.

    >Day 3: KAMAKURA/ENOSHIMA

I’ve never been there so I can’t really comment as to whether or not it’s worth it, but IMO, you’re missing out on a few places that are staples for a Tokyo trip: Tsukiji Outer Market, Roppongi, Sky Tree, etc.

    >Day 5: HARAJUKU/SHIBUYA

Add the following to your Shibuya list: Shibuya Sky and Miyashita Park. You don’t have to go, but it’s nice to have on the list. A note on Harajuku and Takeshita: I hear that it’s crazy packed right now. I don’t know if it’s just on weekends or everyday, so plan on being there early (like you already are) or plan on taking a little longer to get out of there.

  3. I enjoyed Yanaka a lot. It’s a very different and quaint neighborhood.

    Don’t skip Asakusa!

Why go to Disney if you want to see Japan? I’d switch that day out entirely, in favor of a nice day tip to get out of Tokyo to see nature. For example: Takao-san? You could even do Nikko in one day, but that’s kinda stretching it.

  4. Overall – good pace, does not seem too rushed. I would prioritize Asakusa and possibly Ginza or Akihabara over Ueno and Harajuku anyday
