Hello,
I recently upgraded to IPoEアドバンス with OCN (OCN 光 – I got an email last night saying its activated but I do not see any speed differences (wifi, few meters from router 5ghz)
Speed test – [https://ibb.co/BBRp7mT](https://ibb.co/BBRp7mT)
They sent a link to this page [https://support.ocn.ne.jp/personal/purpose/detail/pid2900001cc2](https://support.ocn.ne.jp/personal/purpose/detail/pid2900001cc2)
I found my router listed here [https://www.ntt.com/content/dam/nttcom/hq/jp/business/services/network/internet-connect/ocn-business/option/v-access-ipoe/pdf/bocn\_vc\_router.pdf](https://www.ntt.com/content/dam/nttcom/hq/jp/business/services/network/internet-connect/ocn-business/option/v-access-ipoe/pdf/bocn_vc_router.pdf)
I’m not sure what that means, looking at my router page I only have an option for IPv4 PPPoE – its an old model, I thought they might send a firmware update to enable IPv6 IPoE

OCN Page – [https://ibb.co/GvZFMn3](https://ibb.co/GvZFMn3)
I tried unplugging it, checking for firmware updates.
I actually pay extra for the router rental so if its an issue of it being too old I will be pretty pissed they let me sign up knowing my current plan.
Thank you

**Edit – it worked automatically, the issue was my desktop being old and the wifi connection is topped out.**

Temporarily disable PPPoE. I believe that *should* default you to IPoE edit: probably after reboot. Since there’s nothing really to configure, the HGW should get all the info needed to connect when its restarted. You can then check your ipv4/ipv6 status at a site like https://inonius.net/speedtest/
In the case that RT500KI doesn’t actually support this, and you’re paying for a rental, a simple call to OCN/NTT should get you a new HGW sent which would work. It is strange that they’d let you sign up for such with a rental router tho.
