Making wedding ring shop recommendations.

Greeting everyone.
I live in Tokyo with my fiancée, and we are thinking of making our wedding rings together.

We saw that some shops provide a “making ring by yourself” service,
but many of them are very high prices when it comes to wedding rings. (which is understandable)

So, I am here to ask for some recommendations for this kind of shop!
A price of around 100,000 Yen or lower for a pair of rings is preferred and any material is fine.

Thank you in advance!

  1. Congratulations! Hamri in Shibuya was excellent but was a bit more than 150,000 for a pair.

  2. I don’t know about making a ring by yourself, but I had my wedding ring custom designed at Shinko Studio in setagaya and it was a good experience!

  3. My husband made our wedding rings here: 横浜元町彫金工房

it’s in Yokohama. You can also google “Yokohama chokin” in English to find it

The cost was about ¥100,000 total for two wedding rings (mine has a small diamond in it too) according to their website the price is ¥90,000-120,000 for a pair of wedding rings.

  4. I would check out [/r/Moissanite](https://old.reddit.com/r/Moissanite), even if you want wedding bands without stones, or wedding bands with something besides moissanite. Check the sub’s side bar and look at the vendors list, look through the posts and comments, read the wiki, etc.

You can work directly with jewelers in China to design exactly what you want, and it will be much less expensive than what you pay in Japan while still being very high quality. If you want stones, you can get synthetic diamonds if you wish, or natural, or moissanite, or other gems. You will find engagement rings, wedding bands, and people just getting rings made because it’s what they want. Even if you don’t end up going with a vendor in China and doing this online you will likely find some interesting ideas.

  5. I have no idea why my post got downvoted from “this sub”…

Yes, absolutely no idea, trust me ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

  6. We went to ringram. We’re happy enough with the quality and the experience was fun. For us, it was a lot more meaningful to make rings rather than choosing them. We naturally went with their wedding ring course and the price was about 130,000 for the pair (engraved and a stone set in hers). To be honest I imagine the price of precious metals hasn’t dropped recently, and so given that, and based on what everyone else is saying, I’d probably see if there’s wiggle room in your budget.

Of course, if ANY material really is fine, they have a basic pair ring course or a prenium pair ring course options too.
