Is possible to exchange Japanese yen for other currencies at the airport?

I move back home soon after 10 months and I have a bit left in JPY, is it possible to exchange it at the airport for Swedish sek?

  1. Airport exchange rate is the worst , I recommend going downtown (I recall going to Shibuya) where you can find some little shops , they might do Swedish SEK, and leave some Yen for the ride to the airport and a meal.

  2. How much are changing? OK, don’t answer that but I assume you won’t be changing millions of yen as it is unlikely that they can do that and there is a limit to what you can hand carry.

  3. I think that every airport in the world has a $ exchange booth which gives u the worse rate in town.

  4. if you have Japanese bank account (since u stayed in Japan so long) just deposit the money and use Wise

  5. Get on Wise or Revolut and do the exchange there then withdraw from an ATM when you get back. Maybe get it in your bank account first if you cash lying around like an old man
