The sheer amount of hoops(and cash) you had to jump through to get this before was ridiculous. Looking at a bill of 10k at least, and of course since Sunday morning was the time most people needed it finding a clinic that was open and could write you a scrip wasn’t exactly easy either.

Just checked, in my country they made it prescription free after 2002. I don’t get why you’d need a prescription, unless the pill has some severe side effects.
Although this is probably not gonna help Japan’s already declining demographics, it’d be unreasonable to have artificial and expensive hurdles for women in that regard.
