In case Kevin Kelly leaves NJPW, they should hire Mauro Ranallo if he’s available

1. Can’t see him wanting to travel to Japan regularly.

2. It always pops me when i hear Mauro on commentary when i’m watching older Japanese matches, great dude. I don’t think he’d be up for it, though.

3. I think he works for Bellator and still does boxing commentary for Showtime. Likely wouldn’t have the time to also do New Japan.

4. I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but he’s my favorite on commentary, whether it’s wrestling, MMA, or boxing.

5. He could always do commentary remotely. Kelly did it. IMO he would be a huge improvement.

6. Always liked the guy on commentary, but the travel schedule didn’t do his mental wellbeing any favors. Wouldn’t be right to ask him to go back to that.

   Maybe a one time sort of thing, but the guy is in a good spot now and I wouldn’t wanna rock the boat.

8. I like Mauro more than most. Naw I’m good. Poor Chris would NEVER get a chance for his main event monologue.

   That said cutting Kevin Kelly would be a good move.

9. He never felt real to me. Even as a “character” he just never felt believable with the language he uses.

   Seems like a nice guy but just didn’t jive with him.
