It’s Hiyashi Chuuka Ramen weather


I impulsively picked up a packet at my local Korean market, but I found some broth recipes with tea on Cookpad that I’ll have to try in the coming months.

Also, the cherry on the package fascinated me. Did they mean to get a cherry tomato, but got a cherry and just decided to go with it? Or is it some niche regional garnish? I did see someone have a kiwi garnish on Cookpad.

  1. Old-fashioned Japanese garnish, not unheard of. Canned mandarins are also a thing but you don’t see that much these days.
