Hi everyone! My husband and I will be having our honeymoon in Japan this September. Here is the itinerary I have made so far. Important details is that it will be my husbands birthday during the trip and him and I are both huge foodies and geeks so those type things are our priorities. Also, flights and hotels are already purchased.
Day 1:
Flight leaves (16hr 15min)
Day 2: September 17th (Sunday)
Arrives at Haneda Airport
-Limousine (Bus) (RESERVATION) to the hotel (Shinjuku city area)
-Check in to hotel and decompress
-Grab dinner (booked or something fast like mcdonalds)
Day 3: Shinjuku (Monday)
First thing: go to 7-11 for snacks and drinks to keep at the hotel (and breakfast?)
-Morning: Meiji Jingu Shrine and walk through Yogogi Park
-Afternoon: Lunch on Takeshita St. and store hopping
—-Micro Pig Cafe (reservation)
-Evening: Husband’s Birthday Dinner: Nabezo Shinjuku (Reservation)(Or a suggestion for a special dinner)
-End of night(if not exhausted): See view from Tokyo Metropolitan Building
Day 4:Akihabara/Ueno (Tuesday)
-Morning: Coffee/breakfast at the station. Ueno zoo
-Afternoon: Kanda Myojin Shrine, Akihabara Radio Kaikan (shop), Lunch in Akihabara (sushiro conveyor sushi)
-Evening: Rest and Prepare for Disney (Pack Snacks) Dinner: Udon Shin or Toktake
Day 5: Disney!(Wednesday)
-Disneysea Day
-Morning: Bus to Disneysea (buy tickets ahead of time) from Busta Shinjuku (9:30AM)
-Afternoon: Eat meals at Disneysea (Reserve something)
-Evening: Bus back to Hotel at 8pm or earlier
Day 6: Shibuya (Thursday)
-Morning: Rest up and eat breakfast (anakuma Cafe)
—-Talk to front desk about luggage delivery to last hotel
—-Purchase Shinkansen ticket to Osaka(Should I just do this day of trip to Osaka?)
-Afternoon: Magnet Shop Sibuya109, Hachiko Statue, Takeshita Street
-Evening: Omoide Yokocho (Piss Alley) Dinner
Day 7: Shinkansen to Osaka(Friday)
-Check out of Hotel
-Take a Shinkansen to Osaka Hotel
-Dinner (ippudo/Ramen)(Wai Tan/Dumpling)
Day 8: Osaka/Dotonbori (Saturday)
-Morning: Breakfast: Cafe Anon
—-Either Umeda Sky bridge and pokemon center or Osaka Castle
-Afternoon: Pokemon Cafe (Reservation set alarm at 5am 31 days advance)
—-Dotonbori District: See sign, tombori water cruise?
—-BookOFF plus Namba Ebisubashi
-Evening: Hozenji Yokocho (food stalls and historic area)
Day 9: Universal Studios (Sunday)
-Morning: Train to Universal studios (try and arrive at 8:30am)
-Afternoon: Eat meals at Universal Studios
-Evening: Leave Universal Studios at a reasonable time and eat somewhere around the hotel.
Day 10: Shinkansen to Tokyo(Monday)
-Check out hotel
-Shinkansen ride back to Tokyo
-Check into Akihabara hotel
-Evening: Souvenir shopping in Akihabara: Don Quitos, MTG Hareruya, Akihabara Gachapon hall.
Day 11: Flight back Home(Tuesday)
-Check out of hotel
-Take Limousine/bus from Hotel: Akihabara train pick up
-Flight departs from Haneda Airport (16hr 8min)
