I sweat a lot and it shows on my clothes minutes after going outside. Where can I buy clothes that are not warm and they don’t show sweat marks? Looking for not too expensive clothes with good quality.
I suspect a lot of people will say Uniqlo Air, also Muji version of Air.
Uniqlo has a sweat wicking cool line. Oldest has the sweat glands from hell and he swears by it.
I got my husband some special cooling t-shirts from Shimamura and he likes them a lot for the sweaty weather. They’re made of synthetic material though, he has odorless sweat so it’s not an issue for him but if you have the smelly sweat gene, the combination of synthetic materials and this might be problematic. Wide linen shirts in white might also be good for you, they keep you cool and are breathable and because of the texture of linen and the color any sweat stains won’t show that much from my experience.
I like linen shirts, white doesn’t show sweat too badly, and they also dry pretty quickly in general. I like Gap for my American shaped torso, sticker price is a bit expensive but they have 40% off sales all the time.
Airism as an inner layer. Airism cotton line for overall wear. Nice cut and silhouette. I’ve got one each in white and black, they feel and wear great.
Accept you’ll be a sweaty mess and buy alot of white button up dress shirts, never black. You’d think black would hide it better but you’ll end up looking like a salt collection filter.
Wear an undershirt. It sounds counterintuitive to wear more clothing, but you need an inner layer to absorb the sweat so your outer layer doesn’t show sweat marks. You want something moisture wicking so it’ll dry out quickly. I like Mizuno dry science shirts. You can get them on Amazon. I also enjoy Mizuno hydro silver underwear.
Uniqlo air tank top for your undershirt and a black polyester performance sweat-wicking shirt on top. Darker colors help conceal sweat more. I wear this everyday in the summer when I go out and when I run and you can hardly tell I don’t as sweating other the fact I have a puddle of sweat below me and it drys super quick. And no just because it’s black doesn’t mean it will a make you hotter. There has been lots of research into the color of fabric.
The darker color of your shirt doesn’t matter and the focus should be on the material. If it did make a difference you wouldn’t have any billion dollar sports franchises using black or any dark color if white or lighter colors allowed athletes to stay cooler and increase performance. There are tribes in Saudi Arabia that wear all black robes. The US military also just switched to dark grey/black uniforms after doing lots of testing finding no temperature difference with colors but there was a big difference in temperature with the kind of fabric and some difference between which designs give your more air flow/allow sweat to wick.
Black also hides yellowing from sweat, sun screen, dirt, dead skin, coloring from deodorants, and the sweat itself. The undershirt help reduce the amount of salt on your your shirt. I am a very salty sweater according a sweat patch test but I have almost no salt stains on my black shirts. If you do find yourself I find it’s a lot easier to wash out salt then the yellowing you get on white shirts.
Uniqlo jersey short sleeve business shirts. No undershirt. It absorbs the sweat but you can’t see the sweat marks. Don’t get the plain ones, the striped ones hide sweat the best.
If you’re commuting to the office, put on a t-shirt and change when you get there. My t-shirts can solve the world’s drought by the time I get to the office
Since I have to wear pants to the office, I found that wearing loose fitted khakis is so much better than jeans or tight fighting work suit pants. There also a type of breathable pants you can get at stores like gap. I’m not sure what the style is called, but it’s definitely smart casual appropriate to wear into an office.
Uniqlo is your friend in this.
Their Airism Mesh undershirts and Linen Dress Shirts are awesome in hot and humid climates. They also make a line of open weave polo shirts that are wonderful if your job allows more casual wear.
Cooling wipes might not fix the sweating but you’ll feel cooler.
On top of the clothes people are recommending to you….
Trim that body hair if you have it. Trust me. That helps.
Invest in some Old Spice Sweat Defense on Amazon. That has saved my pits tremendously so far this summer. Worth it.
Uniqlo airism undershirts. I wear shirts/polos over it, which feels better than not wearing airism underneath. Also, dont apply fabcon when washing it.
Uniqlo also makes airism button shirts and polos. Combine that with the airism under shirts and you’ll be feelin great.
I unfortunately hate the thin airism undershirts, they cling and just make me feel uncomfortable. But the airism basic crew neck tshirts, which can also be worn as just a normal tshirt, are great, IMO.
Uniqlo Dri-EX polos and pants are fantastic. I also use shirts made for fishing/hiking that are thin and have discrete vents to allow airflow and moisture escape. There are some that can even pass for business casual.
