Rakuten Mobile Spam calls

1. I also get those sometimes and I’m not with rakuten. Seems to be a general problem atm.

2. I’m using Rakuten, but I haven’t received any such calls. I think they are just making random calls.

3. I don’t think it’s a Rakuten problem, I’m on another carrier and have been getting these calls too.

4. It’s the classic “Chinese Embassy” scam. Targeting Chinese people living abroad. Instead of trying to get lists of Chinese people, they just spam random numbers.

   Probably not related to your phone provider.

5. This used to happen to me in Canada too. They just mass spam call numbers.

6. I still have my US number via T-Mobile and I’ve been getting these calls for years.

7. I got one today saying something about some message I need to check with the 厚生労働省

   No other country I lived in had such scams. Japan needs to get this fixed asap.

8. I don’t think they are targeting Rakuten, these spammers will call anyone. These type of things have been going on for years. Since Japan is next to China, chances are high they will contact a Chinese speaker by randomly calling numbers. 9. I am getting them too, they start with Japanese, then talk Chinese, fuck them.

   I signed up with a YMobile, and they are bombarding me, so I am guessing all these 2nd tier companies with telecom subdivisions are selling their phone lists to someone, or the workers themselves are leaking the lists for a payoff.

   It is pathetic, it’s someone on the inside of each of these companies, btw haven’t given anyone my number, and I call as anonymous.
