Hey everyone!
I’m planning on climbing mt. Fuji this august 16-17, starting at the old sengen shrine in Fujiyoshida.
I was wondering if anyone else has done this and if the path is even remotely visible anymore since most people these days start at the 5th station.
Google maps has the trail visible on street view but the photos are 10 years old.
Just trying not to get lost in the woods..

Planning to climb the 4th, starting from the same place so I can definitely give you a better idea assuming I survive lol. I used [this](https://medium.com/max-greenwalds-blog/how-to-climb-mt-fuji-from-the-actual-base-station-0-60ca34370241#12f1) as a starting place, [this](https://www.google.com/url?q=https://highway-buses.jp/course/kawaguchiko.php&sa=D&source=editors&ust=1687987576276627&usg=AOvVaw2AgDKuSLsFhSOecI34Rqo-) for the bus and [this](https://www.fujimountainguides.com/mountain-hut-reservations.html) to rent the mountain hut.
If you have any questions let me know or hit me up post hike and I can try and give a better explanation if I have some down time during the trip.
