Has anyone used the Lang-8 alternatives LangCorrect or Journaly? Any thoughts?

I’ve searched for a good alternative to Lang-8 for basically my entire time learning Japanese after having lackluster experiences on HelloTalk and really wanting a way to get my writing corrected, and I recently came upon these sites and wondered if anyone here has used either and has any thoughts on them?

Making an account on both and just going based off first impressions, Journaly seems to have a lot more potential. They both have premium subscriptions as well, which Journaly is cheaper and offers/will offer more than LangCorrect.

If anyone has used either or both of these, I’d love to know about your experiences and thoughts! I’m trying to decide which would be best to dedicate myself to, if either is worth it at all.

  1. I’ve used LangCorrect. And by used, I mean I posted a text on there once, got 4 or 5 comments very quickly (within 2 hours or so) and was left with a very positive impression and the intention to make regular posts … which then never happened due to my laziness.

But yeah, to the extent that I’ve used the service I didn’t really have any issues with it and would recommend it.

  2. LangCorrect has been nothing but pleasant. I tend to post when it would be 10-12 PM in Japan, and I usually don’t have to wait more than 2 hours to receive corrections.
