I once met Atsushi Sakurada greeting people outside of my local MOS burger. The CEO of cover corp regularly acts as a model for the items of merch that the company produces. I have noticed that other Japanese companies seem to present their CEOs in a more “friendly” manner.
Is this something that is typical of Japanese CEOs or just a random happenstance?

My father in law used to be CEO of a pretty big company in Tokyo.
He did standard CEO stuff, like many board meetings, golf on week-ends (he hated it) and speeches. He never played the “frienly” CEO and instead worked his ass off to make sure his company and employees were safe. I would say he was a good CEO, just not a “friendly” one. 😉
Depends on the industry and the company.
Yagoo is on another level
Don’t forget the creepy old broad from APA Hotels.
