Mostly from my favorite standing sushi place we found in Tokyo. Truly incredible sushi, especially compared to how much it would’ve cost in the US. I’m used to paying ~$200 on the rare occasion I treat myself to a high end omakase, but this was at least as good, if not better, for a fourth of the price.

It’s incredible in Japan. I splurge the entire time I was there. Also if it matters, the 7-11 atms have the best exchange rates for pulling yen.
Hey I went to Kinka about 2 weeks back, love it as well!
Rectangular nigiri? Wow! Yum.
How was #2? Sea cucumber?
I just had my first trip to Tokyo a couple of weeks ago. Loved the sushi and many other options. Spent most of one day at the Tsukiji Outer Market. Would you mind sharing your spot? I’ll be back in September.
I like the touch of the chopsticks resting on the wine cork 🙂
These all look so top notch. I’m happy for you!
Absolutely ridiculous.
That’s some real sushi. Not a California roll in sight
Fuuuuuu!
Looks like I’ll be living off 7-11 sushi and ATMs on my trip!” 🍣💰
I do not eat fish.
Cooked or not. With rice or not.
In Japan, I’d starve.
Looks like I’ll be living at 7-11 and eating sushi for the rest of my life. Sayonara savings!
what do they do for their rice? i’ve seen a similar style of rice at an omakase i’ve went to, and they must be adding something more than just the rice vinegar, salt, sugar, and kombu im used to
looks incredible <3
Most excellent!
Japan is on my travel bucket list to fully indulge my love & respect for sushi.
Japan was amazing. Learned sushi rolls are possibly only an American thing? Couldn’t find one remnant of rolls displayed anywhere but was not needed. Everything was delicious
