Taxi to NRT Airport

I have to take a taxi from Fuchu, Tokyo to Narita Airport on July 3rd. I have tried make reservations on taxi apps but it’s either I am not in a service area or I get an odd error.

This is an emergency trip back home with a kitten and taking the train is not an option.

Anyone have any experiences with taking the taxi to the airport? I usually use GO for taxis and I’m not sure if they will make the trip to take me to NRT. Any advice welcome.

  1. Why is taking the train not an option? I recently saw a couple take their cat on the train around the akihabara area, and no-one was bothered.

  2. Have you tried calling a taxi company? Btw Tokyo to Narita is around 2-3 man yen.

  3. I’m sure you know but this is a kitten right? You say it’s an emergency trip but be sure to remember that once you leave with that kitten you can’t return back to Japan with them for a minimum of 180 days. Realistically longer than that. Just don’t forget.

Honestly I’d just take them on the train. I’ve secured a carrier onto the top of my suitcase before but I have one of those 4 large wheeled rolling ones. It was easy to balance the carrier ontop and strap the carrier onto the handles.

But your best bet is to just call directly and schedule a service.

  4. From tokyo to narita it would cost you 3万 will that be alright for you? Last time when my bf arrived from nrt it was 11:30pm so we didn’t make it to last train, had to ride a taxi from nrt to tokyo and it cost us 3万

  5. There’s taxi services that allow pets and some that are even specialized in pet transport. I don’t remember which one, as it was several years ago, but they came to pick my friend up with two dogs at my place in Saitama and took all three of them to the airport. They were really friendly.

Here’s one, but searching for pet taxi airport etc should get you a couple more.

  6. I fucked up and once had to Uber to Narita. It’s just like any normal taxi ride, well minus the fee.

  7. S.Ride should be able to do that. You can also sign up for their free one month trail of premium to make it cheaper.
