Ishii got the pin fall win on fd2 so he most likely gets the loss here
It would be nice if Ishii could win a singles match for a change, even better if Eddie costs Moxley the match, accidently or not
But Mox is taking Danielson’s spot so no shot in hell this is happening.
I will gladly watch these two have a match any day, any place.
Then again, if it was announced AEW was just going to do a two hour Ishii takes on all comers gauntlet episode, I’d also be on board with that.
Their match from a couple of years ago was AWESOME! So cool to see it again.
fantasy booking – Takeshita intervenes and costing Ishii the win, leading to a feud between the two.
I know that Takeshita is supposed to continue to his feud with Kenny. But given that Kenny is scheduled to fight El Hijo de Vikingo at AAA in July, he’ll need all the rest he can get, especially after that classic match with Ospreay. Let Takeshita build up to be above mid-card and he and Kenny can square off at All Out.
Was it Ishii that Mox fought in the G1 and in the post-match said something like “you made me get the tables out, my wife hates it when I use tables so now I’ve got that to deal with!”?
>Over/Under 1,000 un-defended blows thrown back and forth?
I’m going with over.
I wanted Takeshita, damn
With Kingston/Ishii so chummy I wondered if they would keep that dynamic up until their G1 match or if something would happen to make it more heated – wonder if this or other AEW appearances will change things
Then again, Kingston’s selective respect/friendship is a big part of his character so I hope he gets to show it off in Japan
Canadians are eating good this week
For anyone that’s seen their G1 Climax 29 match, you already know it’ll be great. Can’t wait for this!
Dynamite looks great this week.
*death. taxes. moxley bleeding in a match.*
I wonder, what do AEW fans who don’t watch any Japanese wrestling think of NJPW? Does it just seem like “the place that all the jobbers come from”?
Maybe if the booking had been closer to 60/40 instead of 90/10 in AEW’s favor, these matches wouldn’t be forgone conclusions that are devoid of any heat at all.
