I stumbled on this event last minute before my trip in few days and super excited to share!
There is an illumination event going on in Kyoto this summer that lit up various parts of the city. Runs essentially now (July) until mid August. If you happen to be in Kyoto this time around, don’t forget to check it out!

The naked garden got my attention. But looks like it’s a false lead. Still pretty though
Are there tickets for the other NAKED events in Kyoto or just the one in Kamigamo-jinja Shrine?
I was at Nijo Castle earlier this week and saw a flyer for it.
Won’t be able to attend now that I’m home but it looks neat.
I will be in Kyoto for one day on 16th august for the gozan okuribi, will it be doable to see both or should I better focus only on the gozan okuribi?
