Good morning.
I used my credit card to pay off my utilities bills (it was an auto payment). I’m looking around the site (SMBC/V-pass) look for ways to pay off that amount. The due date is 24th?
There is Temporary payment by bank transfer (お振込みによる臨時のお支払い), but then I would have to go through that procedure every time.
Back in the US, I would pay my credit card in full before the due date. I think that’s because I didn’t set up reoccurring payments for that card.
Is there a way to connect my bank to automatically pay my card without going through “Temporary payment by bank transfer” each month? Or will my banking system automatically pay off my card (I have SMBC bank account)?

FWIW I have such a card and it is set up to be paid from a non-SMBC account. Can’t remember how I set that up, probably when I applied for the card.
Try looking for “自動引き落とし”.
The due amount for Japanese credit cards are automatically withdrawn from the bank account you linked when you applied. This is quite different than the way they work in North America. In Japan, if you want to spread a purchase across multiple months, you do that at the time of purchase. Unless you set up rolling payment by default, it will be the full amount.
I’m somewhat confused what you’re asking.
The “temporary” nature of sending 振込 is mainly because most people wouldn’t want to do that every month or pay the associated fees.
Normally when you sign up for the card, they will ask you for your banking information to set up direct debit. If they didn’t, then they will send you a part card in the mail to fill in that information.
Different cards sorry different banks. For example, View card supports Mitsubishi bank, but not paypay bank.
You can also pay ahead of time if you like with many cards at an ATM. This is true of, for example, epos card and view card.
But… All of this carrots by card, and you are much better off just calling your card company than asking here since we can only give generic advice.
Also, there is no need to pay it off before the due date, they won’t charge you interest in one time payments.
I think what you meant by “temporary bank transfer” is calling the card company and agreeing to pay the balance before the due date. This is too much work.
It’s easier to just register a bank and deduct the credit card balance at the end of every month. Either way it’s the same thing.
It’s an automatic withdrawal from your bank account for the amount due on that date.
The temporary payment option is for when you want to pay it off sooner.
I have an SMBC card (Amazon), and because the auto withdrawal date is fixed on the 26th, I always pay mine by furikomi on payday (usually 28-29th). That way I can have available credit until the end of the next month without raising my limit. It’s kind of crazy (most people wouldn’t want to pay early), but it’s the same bank account balance whether I pay now or wait almost a month, so no reason to wait and tie up the credit or risk a math error in preserving the funds. It’s a shame the timing isn’t more flexible, but the Amazon card does not allow you to change the withdrawal date.
