We are due to be in Japan in August, and I need some advice for my husband’s inhalers.
He has two inhalers, a blue salbutamol and a brown kelhale? I suspect there’s some paperwork we need to complete for this but I’m not sure what exactly.
If anyone has had to do this before your insight would be super helpful.

I’ve brought asthma inhalers to Japan on several trips and never had an issue. Just be sure to bring a prescription in his name in case they get questioned going through the airport, but they are so common it would be highly unlikely!
I brought an albuterol inhaler on both of my trips without any issues (2017 and 2022). I just packed it in my carry-on bag with the prescription attached, and I was never questioned or searched. In 2017 I did a bunch of research that I can’t remember anymore, but iirc you don’t need to do anything special for that. Pills and other steroids could be problematic, but inhalers are pretty common.
