Are companies actually, actively, hiring from overseas right now? By which I mean, are people getting hired and moving to Japan or is there still a big backlog of applicants and not enough work? Last summer, that was my impression of the situation, but I suspect it has changed somewhat now. I appreciate this may not be an easy question to answer lol.
Currently in Korea, having been here over a year, and considering a change (for a few reasons, but for one – employer owned work visas are not nice).

Yes they are hiring.
Turnover is incredibly high. They are always hiring from overseas.
The good jobs? Maybe not.
Get your foot in the door jobs? Yeah, they’re always looking for fresh sacrifices er, talent.
