Question about Genki workbook questions

2. Some of the answers in the answer book are just suggestions, you should answer with your personal view/opinion if you can.

3. As others have mentioned, the book does ask you about YOU, but the answer key provides an example, 例, for the teacher’s benefit.

   For example, I would answer はい、日本人の友だちいま, while someone else might answer いませんfor number 3, but the answer key says はい、友だちがたくさんいます. All are correct because the answer should use some form of います.
