Hi guys! I will be heading to Tokyo next week solo for the first time, and put together somewhat of an itinerary. I want to have just a final check before heading over. I am also still stuck on what to do for my last day- I would have to reach Haneda by 9pm, so I am not quite sure on what to do during the wait after checking out from my airbnb. I think I have run out of things to do by then, so I might revisit some of the places. What do you guys think of my overall itinerary? Any recommendations for food places?

Omoide Yokoicho is really crowded. I’d advise to have a backup plan for dinner, otherwise you’re gonna be walking around for a bit. There isn’t much for a couple of blocks
Day 2, I do not really understand what you want to do in Shinjuku a 9am. Most store only open at 10-11am. Would just make more sense to go straight to Harajuku to see Meiji-jingu. Also unless it’s the weekend and you want to go to Yoyogi park for people watching, it’s just a park and not a garden, so can easily skip if you ask me. Go to a proper garden if you want to see a garden.
I guess you already have your Ghibli Museum ticket, but 13:30 is not a valid entry time, all tickets are times, so your ticket would have to be 14:00.
I do not especially like the idea of doing Hakone shrine to Gotemba, I would do the loop the other way around, doing Hakone shrine first, then Owakudani, open air museum. Also note that this itinerary they show is already quite full and adding the open air museum can make it unrealistic. If you spend an hour in the museum, it’s an hour you have to remove from somewhere else. And if you are not that much into shopping at Gotemba outlets, then keep your plan but from Hakone shrine, just go back to Hakone-Yumoto station and take the train back to Shinjuku.
Haneda airport is like 45 minutes away from Shinjuku station… you can realistically head to the airport at 20:00 and be there at 21:00, it won’t take 2h to get to the airport. You can also plan to so something on that day, just leave your luggage in a coin locker or luggage storage service.
