Did anybody register the 通称 to get rid of middle names? That would be interesting
Could you have it on your 在留カード right away?
That would make it easier for any online application forms you need to fill out where most of the time there is no field for a second name or not enough space for that many letters.
Questions are: When and how you can do this. I would assume the sooner the better. I would assume you then have the full name with the Alias name on your Zaryuu so that you are allowed to just use your name and surname and leave the middle names out..!?
But I don’t know – and there sure is a form for it that I couldn’t find yet – so that’s why I ask here <3

I don’t know about the particular, but one thing I know is that the alias won’t be on your Zairyuu card. So you need other form of identification card for that.
