My scanner only creates JPEGs, can I just convert them after or do they have to start as PDFs?

The page says

> **All documents must be in PDF format.** Physical documents should be converted into PDFs by use of a scanner.

Does this mean that the scanner should convert them to PDFs or that I just need a perfect scan (ie use a scanner) and they should be converted to PDFs regardless.

  1. You can change the format of the document after you can it a couple different ways, and depending on the type of scanner you’re using and application it scans into, you should be able to change how it saves.

If that’s not possible, to change the format of the scanned document, you can either change the jpeg/jpg to pdf manually in the images properties OR you could print to pdf (works in windows and mac) and it’ll save as a pdf.

Also, if you have an iPhone (or any smartphone probably) you can scan and it should be saved in PDF format.
