Would like some input on my itinerary for October. Apart from the flights nothing is booked yet so everything is open. Still have to compare the JR pass with single tickets. Also waiting to hear more on the price increase for Oct. But otherwise trying to make it work with a 14 day pass.
Few questions on below itinerary:
1. Does it make sense to visit lake Kawaguchiko on a day trip if we also stay at Hakone?
2. I’d like to add a bit more of nature/ryokan stays. Does anyone have a good recommendation that would include not too much additional travel time? Would it make sense to add Matsumoto and Takayama and reduce some nights in Kyoto/Tokyo? I have the slight feeling I have too many nights in Kyoto considering we also will visit Osaka later, however not sure what would be feasible to add.
3. Activities per day are not fixed – trying to group things that are close to each other, if you see anything weird feel free to comment 😉
