for future reference, it’s gonna cause you a lot of unneeded confusion and headache to focus on the individual kanji in a lot of compound words, because the meanings of kanji can shift and change over time but still be used in certain set words or phrases. it’s better to learn 惑星 as a word on its own than to remember it as “confusion star”
