I’ve recently been into reading in japanese, but I don’t want to spend a lot of money. So I was wondering if anyone know any free and LEGAL! or super sheap places where one can read books around Harry potter level difficulties.

I’m not sure how difficult Harry Potter level is in Japanese. But it’s completely free online library that provide you books which already expired copyrights.
I hope it’s helpful for you.
[https://www.aozora.gr.jp/](https://www.aozora.gr.jp/) (青空文庫) is kind of like a Japanese Project Gutenberg. There’s also [https://syosetu.com/](https://syosetu.com/) (小説家になろう) which is a free collection of books written and uploaded by amateur (and some professional) writers which sometimes get published as actual books. Syosetu has far more books.
If you’re looking for any manga (I know it’s not the same as regular books), then ganma is an app that has a wide selection of original manga (as far as I remember; it’s been a few years since I last used it, but now that I’m reminded of it I’m gonna redownload it).
Saw this on the subreddit a couple days ago. I haven’t had the time to fully explore it yet, so I’m not sure how many full books are on here. Hope it helps you!
Manga sites like pixiv, ribbon mascot, or shonen jump!
