I am trying to clean my house and get rid of a bunch of books (English), video games (Mostly North American).
I understand many games could be sold to Book Off (do they accept NA copies?) or even on Yahoo auctions. But how about selling English books? I have loads of novels, and non-fiction books I’ve collected over the years, but I’m wondering if there’s a decent way to sell them off in Japan?
Any help is appreciated!

English book is hard to sell, but try Mercari.
Don’t expect to make any profit. Most likely you will make 200yen profit for each book… Or try Tokyo Sayonara Sales on facebook
The best place for those would be Facebook marketplace. Check for your local marketplace and lots of people would love English books and games.
Book Off will (probably) take English books, but I wouldn’t expect a lot of money for them. Not every branch has an English book section so they might not all buy them, but some stores do. Off the top of my head, the Book Off near Ikebukuro Sunshine has a decent sized foreign section, as does the one in Kinshicho Lotte City.
Depending on the contents I’d buy some cheap books…. have a new apartment and upcoming bigger bookshelf to fill…. Not sure how wise it is to be buying new shit during the week I’m moving but it is still tempting.
I haven’t tried to sell any NA region games here, but if they work no problem then it should be possible to sell them. There are listing for NA or EU versions of games on Amazon and you see used copies for sale, but not sure how much traffic you would actually get listing somewhere like that. Mercari or Yahoo Auctions seems more likely to get buyers for something like that.
[Infinity Books](https://www.infinitybooksjapan.com/page/sell) buys many English language books. Of course, it’s mere yennies on the dollar, but it’s something, plus you likely feel better knowing the books are on a shelf or in someone elses hands, than in an incinerator.
Mercari, ebay, rakuma, yahoo auction
Facebook groups are also useful
Book Off sucks. They buy your books between 1 and 10yen and reject most of them. They only pay better for new releases which you could do better on Mercari.
