Good Afternoon all,
I’m looking into some possibilities for moving some heavier stuff to see if it’s feasible or if I’m just going to have to let some stuff go.
I found this website and I gota say, their prices seem really fair: https://www.dfsworldwide.com/Shipping-to-Japan.html
Anyone have any experience with them or other options they have used that they would recommend?
Also, anyone know what the handling/import fees might look like?
Many thanks!

Before you bring a ton of big stuff, make sure you have a place big enough for it.
Do you have Yamato services in the UK? We did Yamato’s “self pack” shipping which was a flat rate and door-to-door. Very useful if you’re not shipping a ton of stuff but need more than what you’d bring over on the plane.
They’ll even hold your stuff after it clears customs for a month or so if you’re not settled in yet.
Here’s a recent similar thread about shipping to Japan.
IMO ditch as much as you can and only ship when the replacement cost significantly exceeds shipping cost.
