I’ve absolutely loved the collaborative stuff this year between NJPW, NOAH, and AJPW: WK 17 Night 3, Mutoh’s retirement, All Star Junior Festival, All Together Again… and now Kiyomiya in the G1. It’s yielded dream matches and made for an exciting and unpredictable landscape in Japanese wrestling.

  1. It’s been great as you say, and I believe Muto has been the biggest catalyst of all these cross promotional events; the NJPW/NOAH stuff happened last year directly because of him being apart of NOAH and his connections in the Puroresu community; I think Tanahashi has even said he’s been inspired by Muto to wanna do more cross-promotion as well.

  2. People shitted on the whole Muto thing when Noah had signed him, but it lead to many great things, both for Noah and for Japanese wrestling as a whole.

I agree with you and all these collaborations are indeed great!

  3. This along with all the faction shakeups and such, NJPW’s been on a roll this year
