Hey everyone, I am visiting Japan for 2-weeks (29 July to 13 August). I will be spending 4 days in Tokyo, please help me plan these days – am I overdoing/missing anything?
Arriving on 29 July 2023 at 8 PM. Will only sleep and not do anything that night
**Day 1 – 30 July 2023**
* I plan on starting the day early by viting Meiji Jingu
* From there I will go to Harajuku, explore the area
* TeamLabs x Galaxy (Added after someone recommended this – I LOVE DINOS!)
* Takeshita Street, will move towards Shinjuku
* Shinjuku Gyoen
* Spend the evening in Shinjuku, Omoide Yokocho
**Day 2 – 31 July 2023**
* Start the day early at teamLab Planets\* – finish before 12 pm (Tickets not booked yet)
* Move to other side of the town – Shibuya
* Spend the day in Shimokitazawa **(Pls tell me where do I keep all the things I would buy because I cannot take them to Shibuya Sky!)**
* Shibuya, I have a 5:20 PM reservation at Shibuya Sky this day because the weather forecast seemed decent compared to my other days in Tokyo (30 July sunset time was not available)
* Spend the evening in Shibuya
*\*I read a lot about when to go to teamLab Planets – most people said morning hours are the best. I could have combined teamLab on day 3, but then I would have to take the last slot – go after Odaiba Seaside Park.*
**Day 3 – 1 August 2023 (My Birthday!)**
* Start the day at Asakusa – Senso-Ji Temple
* Explore the area
* Sumida River and Tokyo Skytree area
* Take a cruise from Asakusa to Odaiba
* Odaiba Seaside Park
* Evening in Ginza (Just want to walk, not spend much time)
* See Tokyo Skytree if time allows
***\[From*** ***Aug 2 to Aug 11 I will be travelling to other places in Japan, have not planned much. Will write another post for this\]***
**Day 4 – 12 August 2023**
* Come to Tokyo from Kyoto in the morning
* Visit Ueno Park
* Buy things at Akihabara
* Go to Sumida River Side for the Sumida Toro Nagashi (Lantern Festival)
* Dinner
My flight back home is on 13 August 2023 at 10 AM from Haneda.

Why not take the cruise after the teamlab planet to Asakusa?
With teamlabs Planets if you don’t have an advanced ticket you need to go in the morning to get a timed ticket. If you’re alone it will probably be a couple hours later. If more than one person then probably many hours later. Expect to go do something else and then come.back.
